When I'm not snowboarding, I volunteer at a summer camp for children with heart defects called Camp Taylor. My sister was born with the same heart problem that Shaun White has, Tetralogy of Fallot. Camp Taylor brings kids like my little sis together at a few different camp locations. The kids have a blast and learn a lot about their hearts, but most importantly, they see that they are not alone, and that they have friends who have been through the same things as they have. The camp is free to all kids with heart defects and one sibling and relies on volunteers like myself to run the activities for the campers. So, If you have a few extra dollars and you want to support a really great cause, please donate to Camp Taylor, it means a lot to me and even more to the kids!
